Minutes – Thank you everyone for attending the meeting
MEMBERS PRESENT
Mike Budreau - President, Joe McCuen – Vice President, Kelli Holte - Treasurer, Kim Budreau - Secretary. Also Rob Lund, Tracey Lund, Jay
Penner, Kari Penner.
FINANCES
We have roughly
$2400 which more than half will go to host all of our tournaments for 2010. This is the first time we have had enough money
to hold more than 2 tournaments. A special “Thank You” to all of our club members who have
made this a reality!
CLUB MEMBERS
We discussed some cool ideas for “Club Members” for our 2009 season. Our final
thought was getting each Family Club Members, 2 Black zip-up jackets with the logo embroidered & member name.
Single Club Members would get one Jacket.I need some help here in locating which jacket to get and where (I have been to a couple
of store, but unable to find the right jacket… Any suggestions are great as we would love to get these ordered and
on our backs). We
want to make sure the Men’s and Women’s are similar. The Club members assessed our money and
we can afford the jackets to be around $30 which leaves $10 – $20 for the embroidery work (between $480 and $600 total)!
The Club Members receiving these Jackets for the 2009 season are; Bittle’s, Budreau’s, Erickson/Holte,
Lund’s, McCuen’s and Penner’sJ Thanks everyone!
DUES
ARE DUE FOR THE NEW SEASON
Members renewing
your membership and those considering becoming a member, dues can be sent to Tracey Lund (117 Greenmoor Drive, Eagle Point,
OR 97524) in the amount of $70 for Family club membership and $50 for Single club membership. Becoming a member is important because we
all enjoy having a tournament at our own lake, without all of the members we could not do this. The cost
for just one tournament through AWSA is over $300 each and we are having 4 tournaments this year which means we are spending
$1200 in December to make this happen. We are very fortunate for the members we have or we would
not be able to host our tournaments. We are also looking into lowering the tournament entry fee for Club Members for the tournaments held in 2010 (we will
address this further at our next meeting).
2010 TOURNAMENTS!June 12th and 13th,
2010
We will host our 3rd annual “Double Trouble and More Double Trouble” on the 12th and
13th of June which will be 2 rounds each day. We discussed hosting Dinner again for the Saturday
Tournament and T-Shirts for the Sunday Tournament. We will be looking for donations again this year to
pay for the t-shirts. The Penner’s said they will be looking into getting a band for the 12th.July 10th and 11th,
2010 .
Club members at the meeting all agreed we wanted to host another weekend of tournaments. We will
host 2 “Three Round” tournaments on the 10th and 11th of July. We can
make this happen if we find all of the Chief Judges to be able to make it happen. Our entries will be limited to 35 so everyone
will get all three rounds in. We also discussed having a “Pot Luck” style dinner and no t-shirts. Kim has volunteered to be the
Tournament Director for all 4 tournaments. We will only be able to make these tournaments happen if we
get enough Chief’s to make it happen. Each tournament needs a Chief Judge, Chief Safety, Chief Driver,
Chief Scorer and at least one boat if not 3.
AWSA
MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
Don’t forget to renew your membership, which will expire
one year after you renewed last year. More importantly all skiers need to have a membership with AWSA for
liability reasons to ski on the lake.
